God’s answer

To everyone who has found themselves in desperate situations, or with questions, or in the middle of chaos, or without a friend, or frustrated with life, or without the answers, or . . . wherever we find ourselves.  God, the creator and author of all of life, has given us His Word (the Bible) and through it He communicates His character, His purpose and His love.  In the beginning of the second book of the Bible, the book of Exodus, God gives His name as “I AM”.  It may not sound like much of a name to us.  But, God wasn’t just giving us a Name to call Him, He was giving us a Name to believe.  Through the name “I AM”, God is telling us who He is and what He does.  Check out how God answers some of our thoughts –

I need hope.

     I AM.

I’m not sure who’s on my side.

     I AM.

I need a bigger story.

     I AM.

Nobody’s in control.

     I AM.

Who’s gonna stay?

     I AM.

Nothing’s real anymore.

     I AM.

Who’s big enough to protect me?

     I AM.

Who’s strong enough to confront me?

     I AM.

I need peace.

     I AM.

Nobody’s listening to me.

     I AM.

I’m pouring into others, who’s pouring into me?

     I AM.

I’m not sure why I’m here.

     I AM.

I need a new beginning.

     I AM.

Who’s gonna love me?

     I AM.

The God of the universe is the God of today.  He’s the only GOD.  And He’s the only one who can give us life and meaning. He’s the only one who can meet all of our needs.  He’s the only I AM.  Believe Him.

(I AM statements above are from Louie Giglio’s book, i am not, but I know I AM . . . with some of my own additions)
